Communications is part of the Marketing Centre of Excellence, leading global strategy and plans across internal and change communications, media and PR, crisis communications, events management and digital communications.

 

 

The opportunity:

 

The Senior Internal Communications Officer will develop impactful internal communication campaigns to engage employees with corporate initiatives. They will also coordinate our central communication channels, including digital, publications and events, measuring their effectiveness and implementing improvements.

 

This role will work with the central communications team and regional communication colleagues to ensure integrated planning and scheduling across all internal and change communication activities.

 

The main opportunities / challenges within this role include:

 

  • Working with the Head of Internal & Change Communications to create a global strategy for internalommunications, including a new channel strategy.
  • Developing, implementing and evaluating internal communications campaigns for corporateinitiatives (HR, Finance, Estates, IT, Marketing, Policy and Corporate Affairs)
  • Reviewing, developing and coordinating internal editorial and digital channels and events
  • Maintaining a communications schedule to ensure consistency in volumes and messaging
  •  Working with and influencing a wide range of internal stakeholders, often at senior level
  • Line management and development of the Internal Communications Editor

 

 

Our ideal candidate will possess:

  •  A degree or professional qualification in journalism or communications, or demonstrable level of equivalent experience
  • Experience in an internal communications role in a large and complex organisation
  • An understanding of internal and communications strategy, planning and delivery
  • Experience in managing multiple internal communications plans and projects simultaneously
  • Experience of advising senior managers on internal communications plans and activity
  • Professional editorial skills
  • A thorough understanding of digital internal communication channels
  • Team / people management experience
