The British Council is recruiting for a Regional Safety and Security Advisor, South Asia to advise and assure the safe and secure operations of the British Council’s global operations through the implementation of a risk-based approach to managing security, safety and continuity.


Your key responsibilities in the role will include:
  • Leading the safety, security and continuity’s team’s work in South Asia, and providing advice and assurance to the organisation’s leadership that the security and safety management is effective.
  • Providing technical advice to the front line on the application of the British Council Safety, Security and Continuity System (Policy and Framework)
  • Provide training to British Council operations in your regional area on the application of the British Council Safety, Security and Continuity System (Policy and Framework)
  • Monitoring compliance to the British Council Safety, Security and Continuity System (Policy and Framework), to provide assurance to global leadership

  • Working in a security and safety risk management role
  • Handling complex organisational security issues 
  • Analysing potential risks, and promoting risk awareness
