ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT/TEAM

 

China is one of British Council’s largest exams operations, delivering extensive international exams to individuals, institutions, schools and corporate clients in mainland China. By providing access to highly valued UK qualifications, with the reassurance of integrity, we build on the UK’s reputation for world-class educational standards. Core tests we administer include IELTS, Aptis, and a wide range of academic and professional qualifications (Distribution Exams stream). The Distribution Exams stream in China encompasses school exams, professional exams, and university exams and is a critical part of our exams business.

 

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING AND WHY

 

In this role, you will be leading IELTS Compliance and Training Team, North and Central China to ensure a high compliance level of exams operation. You will develop strong awareness of compliance through managing new staff induction and training for IELTS exams administration team, and also assist with staff L&D planning and arrangement and staff engagement activities.

 

WHAT IS INTERESTING ABOUT IT

 

You will have opportunity to lead IELTS Audits and Quality and Compliance Assessment to ensure IELTS operations are in line with the British Council and awarding body regulations and quality standards . You will manage IELTS administration procedure documents and administration staff training sessions to ensure internal operation quality and business knowledge heritage transfer.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

 

To qualify for the role, you will need to have:

 

1. Language ability: English B2 (Aptis, IELTS 6.5 or equivalent); Chinese C1 (HSK 5 or equivalent)

2. Bachelor’s Degree

3. Minimum 2-year experiences of people management

4. Experiences of project management, process control, internal training, internal audit and quality assurance

5. Professional knowledge of train the trainer, and internal audit is highly preferred
