Department: Teaching Centre Pay band: Teacher of English Salary: Teacher salary scale Contract type: Full Time Teacher Contract length: 2 years Closing date: 7 September, 2017

Essential Requirements:

2 years’ post-certificate i.e. CELTA/Trinity Certificate, experience, includes Adults (18+): 800+ hours and Young Learners (especially, ages 8-10, 11-13, 14-17): 500+ hours)

Familiarity with contemporary UK

Demonstrable expertise and enthusiasm in the teaching of English to young learners

Demonstrable expertise and enthusiasm in teaching with technology

Undergraduate degree

Recognised initial ELT certification equivalent to Cambridge CELTA/ Trinity Certificate and 2 years’ post-certificate experience.

High proficiency in English i.e. full mastery of English across all 4 skills equivalent to user (CEFR C2) IELTS Band 8/9 in each of 4 sections of the academic module


Desirable Requirements:

Young learners aged 6 to 7 (200+ hours)

Young learners/ Early years aged 3 to 5 (200+ hours)

Recognised diploma in EFL i.e. DELTA/Trinity Diploma

CELT-YL extension or equivalent

PGCE/B.Ed. in Primary or relevant subject
