ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT/TEAM

Marketing at the British Council is a strategic function which drives awareness, understanding and engagement with us across our diverse audiences. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING AND WHY

The overall purpose of your role as the Marketing Executive is to support the Marketing Manager in the execution and implementation of the country’s marketing strategy for English and plans for the country, ensuring alignment to the cluster/regional and global marketing strategy and brand, and to work in partnership with SBUs to ensure that country marketing programmes enable required business targets.

 

WHAT IS INTERESTING ABOUT IT

This role will expose you to the English education market for Young Learners. You will have the opportunity to share intelligence, experience and ideas to support senior managers in identifying/developing new ways in which marketing could positively impact our operations for our Young Learner courses.

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

You must have relevant external professional organisations e.g. CIM, Melcrum, GCN, CIPR, WOMMA etc. (or equivalent experience in relevant discipline) as well as experience of working with a marketing and communication department. It is also essential that you have at least a year of hands-on experience running and optimising campaigns on Google and Facebook.
