ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT/TEAM

Education Services Team supports the UK education sector in its strategic engagement with China and help UK institutions to expand their presence and student recruitment in the China market.  The team contributes to the planning and implementation of University’s strategies by working with the University’s International Office and colleagues to achieve business development plans and deliverable results in order to meet on-campus student recruitment targets.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING AND WHY

As the post holder, you are expected to be the Education Services Account Manager on behalf of our client (Newcastle University).  As part of the service, you are expected to implement the University’s strategies, provide support services for stakeholders, as well as coordinate a diverse portfolio of activities. The job involves extensive travel and sometimes for up to three weeks at a time, so the ability and willingness to work evenings, weekends and unsocial hours are essential.

 

WHAT IS INTERESTING ABOUT IT

Your role also involves managing existing articulation partnerships in order to secure an increase in the number of Newcastle-enrolled students from China, identifying new potential articulation partners in order to secure an increase in the number of Newcastle-enrolled students from China in additional to attending education fairs and recruitment events.

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

To be considered successful, you will bring along experience of student recruitment (at least two years) and working in an international environment, preferably in higher education. It is also essential that you have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent and experience of international agent recruitment and management. It is also advantageous if you have exposure on international conversion and university alumni activities.
