Locally Appointed Grade G / 2 years fixed term contract / Full Time 35 hours/week / Gross yearly pay: from 35,400.00 depending on previous relevant experience / Location Italy – Milan or Rome / open to anyone who meets requirements, with the pre-existing right to work in Italy. Appointment will be subject to criminal check (for Child Protection purposes).
British Council Italy is currently recruiting for 1 post of Exams Key Relationship Manager, fixed term, base in Rome or Milan.  

The demand for English in Italy is high, and with it the need for individuals to demonstrate their level of competence through recognised qualifications. The British Council’s reputation is strong and the market is increasingly competitive. Italy Exams is large and complex, currently the largest in EU, with operations based in three major cities: Rome, Naples and Milan. Several functions including Business Development and Marketing are managed on a pan-Italy basis.

The post holder, who will report to the Director Examinations Italy, will play an integral role in business development for Exams, holding responsibility for the effective on-boarding of new clients. This person will focus on growing and developing existing clients, together with generating new business, and will be responsible for maintaining the relationships with them through regular contacts and loyalty activities. He/she will contribute to writing business plans and to supporting tender opportunities and will be responsible for researching and identifying new leads, business opportunities and potential new markets.

Applicants need to have: pre-existing right to work in Italy; very good level of English and Italian (minimum level C1 of CEF for both); very good account management and business development skills; they will be target oriented and accountable and will have the ability  to build trust and understanding
