Department: Teaching Centre Pay band: Middle Management Salary: Please refer to the Vacancy Information Contract length: 2 years Closing date: 26 May 2016

Essential Requirements:

*    TEFL Q- plus min of five years’ experience post qualification

*    At least five years’ experience of ELT teaching/training in one or more of the following areas:

  • Young Learners (Early years age 2-5, Primary age 6-10, Secondary age 11-14, Secondary age 15-17)
  • Professionals
  • General Adults
  • Teacher training
  • Exam preparation

*    At least two years’ proven experience and demonstrable success as a manager in a complex educational context.

*    Min of two years’ experience of academic management at ST level or above in an English language teaching centre

*    Business Management and Development (level 2)

*    Marketing and Customer Service (level 1)

 Academic Management

*    Demonstrates the ability to:

      Develop, implement and maintain academic systems in accordance with quality assurance systems

*    Manage or contribute to and develop pedagogic activities such as syllabus design, teacher timetabling, 
      class scheduling, course planning.

*    Successful experience of undertaking teacher observations, teacher training, line management and professional 
      development of teachers and support staff.

*    Proven ability to manage or actively contribute to the overall running of a teaching centre.

*    Demonstrates ability to develop, implement and maintain academic systems in accordance with quality assurance 


Desirable Requirements:

*    B.Ed, PGCE, TYLEC or Cambridge YL Ext, CELTA tutor

*    Financial Planning and Management (level 2)

*    Masters in Marketing or an MBA
