ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT/TEAM

Marketing at the British Council is a strategic function which drives awareness, understanding and engagement with us across our diverse audiences. We use insight, knowledge and analysis of our market and our customers to engage them with the British Council’s international cultural relations mission, our products and services in the most impactful and effective way. We lead the development of our brand and use our expertise to tell inspiring stories to enhance our global reputation, build lifelong relationships, engage our staff and prove the impact of what we do.

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING AND WHY
We are looking for a Marketing Officer to work together with the Marketing Manager to implement and improve online and offline marketing campaign performance for our Teaching Centre. Our core products are face-to-face English courses taught to groups of Adults (General English, IELTS preparation and Culture and Language). We also sell face-to-face English courses taught to groups of children from the age of 6 upwards and teenagers.


WHAT IS INTERESTING ABOUT IT
This is an exciting opportunity to work on the launch of new products for Young Learners (Primary Plus and Secondary Plus in a small but growing teaching centre). You will also be able to join regular professional development, training and skills programmes to develop your experience and skills.

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
You will bring experience working with a marketing and communication department and demonstrate experience in working with external suppliers.
