Learning and Development (L&D) Manager, Sales and Academy Management Academy (EA-SCM-0023)

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT/TEAM

The British Council’s Sales and Customer Management (SCM) team manages the acquisition, retention and support of customers in our English and Exams businesses. This includes our English course consultants, Call centre and Telesales teams and ‘front-of-house’ customer management teams in our centres. Together, this covers approximately 400 staff, who work towards achieving sales business targets and on contributing to an excellent customer experience.

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING AND WHY

The SCM Academy Project Manager will be responsible for developing a learning and development strategy and framework and then implementing this across the region. The Academy is expected to cover five key areas

-       Role specific on-boarding (including

-       Skills training and assessment

-       Product training framework

-       Manager readiness and succession planning.

-       Monitoring and evaluation of all of the above.

 

WHAT IS INTERESTING ABOUT IT

The role will work with country, regional and global leadership to:

-       create and curate content

-       establish a framework for delivering different types of training, e.g. training playbooks; e-learning modules; webinars and workshops.

-       identify and allocate resources, including establishing a network of trainers who will help with the creation and delivery.

-       Establish the monitoring and evaluation framework.


WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

You should have experience of working with a sales function, either as a sales manager or L&D lead working closely with sales teams and developing learning, developing and training programmes and content for multiple role-types (preferably at scale and with a focus on sales). You will be working with sales team in the regional to review and improve business processes, particularly in the areas of customer service and sales. Experience of working with Salesforce CRM would be advantage.

 

This role can be based in Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore or Malaysia.
