We have a wide range of free global digital products for learners and teachers of English, incl. websites, social media channels, mobile apps, MOOCs and online courses, all organised under the TeachingEnglish and LearnEnglish product brands. The global English digital products reach over 90 million people each year.


Reporting to the Social Community Manager, the Social Content Designer will create innovative and visually striking assets, including video, to help promote the digital products, as well as other British Council products, on the global English social media channels.


About You


  • You will have a demonstrable track record of social media marketing and content creation, as well as a good knowledge of Photoshop, video recording, editing software and live-stream broadcasting. 
  • In addition to the above, you will be a proven graphic design expert with evidence of successfully delivering multiple projects while balancing competing priorities.
  • An active user of social media, in particular Instagram, you will work closely with the social media team as well as the wider global English Digital team across several time zones to generate ideas and produce a wide range of social media assets such as quizzes, animations, videos and infographics.
