Essential Requirements:

Undergraduate degree

Recognised  initial ELT certification equivalent to Cambridge CELTA/ Trinity Certificate and 2 years’ post-certificate experience.

High proficiency in English i.e. full mastery of English across all 4 skills equivalent to user (CEFR C2) IELTS Band 8/9 in each of 4 sections of the academic module

2 years’ post-certificate i.e. CELTA/Trinity Certificate, experience, includes Adults (18+): 800+ hours and Young Learners (especially, ages 8-10, 11-14, 15-17): 500+ hours)

Familiarity with contemporary UK

Demonstrable expertise and enthusiasm in the teaching of English to young learners

Demonstrable expertise and enthusiasm in teaching with technology

 

Desirable Requirements:

Recognised diploma in EFL i.e. DELTA/Trinity Diploma

CELT-YL extension/ TYLEC or equivalent

PGCE/B.Ed. in Primary or relevant subject

Experience of teaching Early Years

Experience of line managing other teachers
