British Council invites applications for the position of Development Communications Specialist for its Libraries Unlimited Program. 
Number of Position/s- 01
Type of contract- Consultancy (Fixed term)
Contract Duration- December 2020 

Main Accountabilities
  • Identify relevant communication tools to raise profile in terms of audience engagement and project delivery, designing and implementing a cohesive communications strategy, design and manage audience engagement plans and communication campaigns 
  • Nurture key media relations and opportunities for public engagement to raise corporate profile and reputation. 
  • Plan internal communications content, promote blogs, best practice and impact stories on various platforms – South Asia intranet, corporate bulletin, global event grids and marketing and communications network. 
  • Develop relations with external vendors and agencies and supervise production, design, and branding of communications on corporate items. 
And is required to have the following skills and experience
  • Graduate degree in marketing/ communications/media and journalism, development studies or equivalent work experience
  • Proven track record of developing and delivering successful communications campaigns
  • Strong strategic and planning skills for communications, public relations and campaigns
  • Strong writing and content creation skills with evidence of creativity and innovation to deliver strategic campaigns
