ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT/TEAM

Marketing at the British Council is a strategic function which drives awareness, understanding and engagement with us across our diverse audiences. We use insight, knowledge and analysis of our market and our customers to engage them with the British Council’s international cultural relations mission, our products and services in the most impactful and effective way. We lead the development of our brand and use our expertise to tell inspiring stories to enhance our global reputation, build lifelong relationships, engage our staff and prove the impact of what we do.

The Senior Marketing Manager, Campaigns and Content is a new role within the regional English Marketing Function. It leads on campaign and content delivery for the young learners segment, acting as funnel between global and local teams, and supports this for the adults segment to drive more effective marketing activity.

  

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING AND WHY
You will be thrilled to find yourself leading the delivery of marketing campaigns and content in the region with a focus on the young learners segment (2 to 17 years old). You will be responsible for leading on regional campaign management and developing marketing content which is relevant and coordinated across countries in the region. You will ensure marketing campaigns and content are aligned with English marketing strategy across the British Council.

 

WHAT IS INTERESTING ABOUT IT
You will have the fantastic opportunity to take on a brand-new regional role to lead on campaign strategy, planning and delivery within the region and ultimately be accountable for co-ordinated campaign execution across the young learners segment.

You will be able to work with global, regional and country marketing colleagues across several countries, provide your insight regionally and contribute to our global product and go-to-market strategy. East Asia is a major contributor to our revenue and profit.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

You should demonstrate considerable experience in developing and executing marketing campaigns and plans within a large and complex organisation.

You must have experience in the design and delivery of plans to support programmes / products and in providing direction, oversight and coaching on the delivery of marketing campaigns and activities. 

You should also bring along your experience of people management and supplier management. Experience of working across more than one country is also desirable.
