Role Purpose

The purpose of this job is to generate Business Development activities which will increase the volume of Examinations activity in Bangladesh in line with the Country and Regional plan.

British Council invites applications for the position of Head of Business Development
Number of Position/s- 01

Main Accountabilities
  • Generate and implement strategic and tactical business development initiatives across the British Council’s Examinations portfolio in Bangladesh
  • Deliver targets against the annual business plan 
  • Provide Leadership and Line Management of the Business Development function of the Examinations Team
  • Work with Marketing team to run marketing campaigns 
  • Support Director Examinations, to manage key customer account relationships with partners across the portfolio 

And is required to have the following skills and experience
  • At least five years’ work experience in business development including two years in a similar role.  
  • Experience of maintaining relationships with different types of customers and delivering business benefits to customers
  • Ability to work in a way that promotes safety and well-being of children.
  • Skills and experience of stakeholder mapping and analysis in relation to markets and stakeholders
  • Proficient in using PESTLE and SWOT analysis or other tools

What we can offer
  • Monthly salary BDT 196,000 (Consolidated). Higher salary may be offered based on candidate’s skills and experience.
