About us:

The British Council is the UK’s international organisation for cultural relations and educational opportunities.  We create friendly knowledge and understanding between the people of the UK and other countries. We do this by making a positive contribution to UK and the countries we work with – changing lives by creating opportunities, building connections and engendering trust.

We work in over 100 countries across the world in the fields of arts and culture, English language, education and civil society.  Each year we reach over 20 million people face to face and more than 500 million people online, via broadcasts and publications.

Our Global HR team (where this role sits) helps the British Council achieve its corporate goals by developing a global workforce that puts the right people, with the right skills, in the right place.

Through what we do, we are creating a positive and engaging place to work; a place that values its people and their diversity, and where colleagues feel inspired and enabled to deliver their best. We work in partnership to build our people’s skills and ability, and provide the support they need, when they need it.

The opportunity:

This role sits with the Organisation Design & Effectiveness Centre of Expertise to enable organisation and culture change in line with the strategic direction and to ensure consistency of delivery of people strategies that provide a sustainable platform for organisation development.
