Pay band 7 | Three years fixed term contract | The role can be based in either Pakistan, Bangladesh or Nepal.
The British Council is recruiting for a Commercial Development Manager to develop the 2-3-year Regional Commercial plan, drawing together Global targets, market insights and market intelligence to agree priorities and focus for Country Business Development and 3-5-year Regional Commercial Strategy.  

This role is ultimately responsible for overseeing Demand Planning for the South Asia Region (Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh), assessing and monitoring quality of pipeline fill, commercial viability and sales forecasting.  The role also ensures the development/tailoring of solutions/value propositions to meet market needs in conjunction with Global Product teams and co-ordinates support for the development of large-scale tenders.

To apply and be successful in the role, you will need experience of:

  • Market research and horizon scanning of sector
  • Monitoring Ministry changes which will impact on business and working with regulatory bodies
  • Building and maintaining stakeholder relationships
