The British Council in Penang is recruiting a Professional Development Unit Manager to oversee and manage the Professional Development unit based within the teaching centre. This post starts in September 2017, although a slightly later date is negotiable. This is an excellent career development opportunity for a teacher to broaden his or her academic and professional skills.

As Penang is a relatively small centre, you will be one of three key members of the management team and your main responsibility will be to ensure the smooth operations of the PDU, which is a small but thriving unit. Together with the other key members of the management team, you will lead a team of teachers and have direct line management responsibilities for four of them.

All applicants must have a first degree and hold a diploma level qualification (i.e. DELTA or equivalent) with at least five years relevant corporate training experience.
