ROLE PURPOSE
The main purpose of this position is to develop and oversee the implementation of a contract life cycle management culture in the local procurement function and creating value for internal stakeholders.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS
Essential criteria: 
  • Must have experience of contract and/or operations management in a global organisation and should have experience in an international context
  • Experience of working across matrix structure to drive and deliver a substantial change agenda and experience of developing & embedding new ways of working e.g. framework, approaches and processes of working
  •  Should have an experience of working in a geographically dispersed matrix structure, including the ability to co-ordinate resources not under role holder’s direct control and experience in procurement contracts management is essential.

ROLE SPECIFIC INFORMATION
  • This role will be for flexible location (Delhi / Mumbai / Kolkata / Chennai)       
  • The role would be for Indefinite contract duration
  • As per India Recruitment Policy (applicable to internal staff only) - “Staff on fixed term or indefinite contract must have completed 1 year in their current post in order to be eligible for applying against internal vacancies”.  
  • Additionally: If you are applying for a job in another location, this will be considered as voluntary relocation and not an Organisation initiated transfer.

  • Annual leave entitlement is 21 working days in a year ·         
  • Hours of work including 1-hour lunch break will be 40 hours per week. The British Council Division may at its discretion vary these timings as the needs of the Division dictate. ·         
  • BCD has a Group Medical Insurance policy of INR 500,000 as a family floater amount ·
