The British Council Belgium is looking for Project Manager – Live Skills project.

Working within the British Council’s global product development team, the ELT Managing Editor (Adult) helps to develop our position as a leading provider of high-quality English language courses and contributes to our overall teaching and learning strategy.  Working with the Learning Content Development Manager, the ELT Managing Editor (Adult) is responsible for planning, commissioning, project-managing and content developing a range of blended learning projects through all stages of product development and iteration. As an experienced and highly motivated publishing professional, s/he ensures that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with defined standards and market expectations. 

The main accountabilities of the position will be: 

The management of Live Skills – European Commission co-funded project under Erasmus+ Sector Skills Alliances programme during the final delivery/implementation stages and the final reporting period. 

The post-holder will be responsible for coordinating the Live Skills project with a grant from the European Commission and co-funding from partners: The Live Skills project manager is in charge of the management and delivery of the project, its day-to-day coordination programme in close collaboration with and supported by the Project Director who leads on the strategic direction and the key stakeholder relationships. The project manager produces plans and reports, plans, monitors and co-ordinates with project partners and is responsible for managing the project website. The project manager works closely with the representatives of all eight full partner organisations and two associated partners to plan, monitor and evaluate the work achieved. The project manager oversees the budget and liaises with the European Commission for contracts and reports. They are in charge of the internal and external communication of the project. The project manager works closely with and reports to the Project Director. The project manager coordinates the budgetary and financial management of the project in accordance with both British Council and European Commission standards, including budget planning, forecasting, monitoring and reporting and cash-flow planning. Compliance with EU financial reporting requirements will include providing data to external auditors in the format required.
