British Council is currently looking for Regional Resources Assistant Manager, SEA to be based in one of these locations: Manila, Jakarta, Yangon, Mandalay, Singapore, Taipei, Kuala Lumpur, Ho Chi Minh City, Hong Kong. 


The English and Examinations Strategic Business Unit (E&E) is one of three strategic business units in the British Council (the others being Arts and Education & Society) all of which have the remit to build trust for the people of the UK by building relationships through aspects of our language and culture.  E&E achieves this by enabling people across the world to access the life-changing education and work opportunities that are created by learning English or gaining valuable UK qualifications.  Promoting the English language also provides a medium for communication, helping break down barriers of misunderstanding or mistrust between cultures. The purpose of this role is to plan, train and deploy the right mix and profile of the British Council’s test day personnel, ie examiners, Venue Supervisors and Venue Staff for smooth Test Day delivery. This role will support cluster operations in the development of the workforce plan, travel logistic arrangement and monitor performance to ensure up to the compliance standards as well as right level of customer experience and optimum cost, utilisation and productivity. This role will undertake tasks as directed related to the recruitment, training and management of Examiners. 


You can take pride in the fact that you will support plans to optimise available venue staff and examiners as well as ensuring cluster has sufficient resources of examiners and venue staff. You will communicate effectively when working virtually with country counterparts to resolved operations issues as directed.      


You will have English C1 (Aptis, IELTS 6.5 or equivalent) with experience working in relevant field. You will have experience of working in any of the following: Exams operation, HR, event or venue management. You will have excellent communication skills. You will being along experience of ability to manage non-permanent resource including oversight of performance.
