 British Council invites applications for the position of  Component Lead, Advocacy and Stakeholder Engagement for its Libraries Unlimited Program. 
Number of Position/s- 01
Type of contract- Consultancy (Fixed term)
Contract Duration- December 2020 

Main Accountabilities
  • Design, plan and implement an advocacy strategy, and lead implementation of advocacy objectives.
  • Contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of the strategic objectives.
  • Contribute to the identification and relationship management of a network including government high officials and secure partnerships to enable the sustainability of the library.
  • Ensure sound financial management and planning aspect of the component meeting British Council standard.
  • Lead on internal planning and reporting including risk and issue management ensuring regional management information requests are met.
  • Work with the Communications Manager to undertake media outreach; maintain online presence; and implement media strategies to achieve advocacy objectives.
And is required to have the following skills and experience
  • Graduate degree in any discipline. 
  • Proven  leadership and organisational management  experience at a senior level
  • Strong strategic and planning skills for communications, public relations and campaigns.
  • Proven track record of skills in: corporate communications, communications for development, behaviour change communications.
