Regional Head of Insight, EU

Marketing at the British Council is a strategic function which drives awareness, understanding and engagement with us across our diverse audiences. Market Insights and Analytics is a new Centre of Excellence within the global Marketing function. It leads commissioning and oversight of market insight and analytics activities, to provide a deeper understanding of customers, markets and competitors in order to drive more effective marketing and communications activity.

The postholder will be responsible to assess market insight and analytics needs at a regional level, provide expert advice to regions and countries on activities, co-ordinate activities and ensure consistent deployment of market insight and analytics processes, systems and approaches, This role will also define and develop key global data collection standards, processes and templates and manage the tracking and collation of marketing performance information.

Role Specific Knowledge and Experience

- Considerable experience in managing and commissioning market insight and analytics projects and initiatives within a large and complex organisation.
- Demonstrable experience in providing expert advice and guidance on market insights and analytics
- Demonstrable experience in coaching managers to use market insights and analytics to improve business performance

Defines and prioritises the insights needed to achieve business and marketing goals.  Develops insights about the organisation, its environment and its customers that impact business decisions  

Monitors and Measures Effectiveness (level 4)
Defines appropriate measurements for the plan and monitors their use. Evaluates activities and recommends improvements using measurement data and analytics.

This role will report to Director Marketing Europe.

** Internally the role is open to candidates who already have the right to live and work in Europe. For candidates who live outside Europe region but have eligibility to work in Europe, the role will be located in EU region. Local contract conditions will apply and the position is not globally mobile **
