The British Council is seeking the following:

 

Programme Manager – New Product Development

 

 

Reporting to the Director of New Product Development or Head of Online Learning (Teaching) this is an exciting opportunity to Lead and direct the design, development, planning and management of large projects and programmes across New Product Development or Teaching in English & Exams through a matrix of internal and external resources and partnerships, to ensure effective achievement of business objectives. 

 

In addition to the above you will;

 

  • Oversee effective programme design, delivery and implementation.
  • Manage and/or influence virtual, dispersed project teams to deliver high quality products and services globally
  • Drive effective projects/programme initiation, design, funding approval and implementation working to defined customer and market needs throughout.
  • Ensure that all projects/programmes are designed, developed and delivered to take equal consideration of both the ‘hard scope’ that delivers tangible outputs (e.g. documents, systems, assets) and the ‘soft scope’ of engaging people and managing effective implementation of new products and services (e.g. communications skills, resource change, benefits realization, etc).
  • Identify and understand the complex stakeholder and internal political landscape within the British Council, build relationships and raise the professional credibility of the business to ensure the early engagement of projects and initiatives
