ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT/TEAM

 

China is one of British Council’s largest exams operations, delivering extensive international exams to individuals, institutions, schools and corporate clients in mainland China. By providing access to highly valued UK qualifications, with the reassurance of integrity, we build on the UK’s reputation for world-class educational standards. Core tests we administer include IELTS, Aptis, and a wide range of academic and professional qualifications (Distribution Exams stream). The Distribution Exams stream in China encompasses school exams, professional exams, and university exams and is a critical part of our exams business.

 

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING AND WHY

 

You will be part of the team that delivers high quality examinations services for British Council Distribution Examinations (Professional, Educational and Entrance exams) in East China through effective exam venue staff management. You will ensuring exam services are delivered in full compliance with all corporate standards and regulations set by examinations’ boards.

 

WHAT IS INTERESTING ABOUT IT

 

In this role, you will gain experiences leading the recruitment, training and performance management for all distributions Test Day Personnel pool in East China. You will have opportunity to design training materials; initiate yearly training plans. This is a fantastic opportunity for those who wish to polish their skills about people management, stakeholder management and more. You will have chance to participate in our test day delivery and relevant projects; this will help you build a in-depth knowledge on assessment industry.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

 

To qualify for the role, you will need to have:

 

1. Communication Skills: Speaking and listening: English B2 (Aptis B2, IELTS 6.0 or equivalent); Chinese C1 (HSK 5 or equivalent)

2. Bachelor’s degree

3. Minimum 1 year of experience in project management & working to tight deadlines and with a high level of attention to detail

Experience of managing people is highy preferred in this role; experience of working in managing international exams
