Examinations

Examinations/ UK qualification deliver 95,000 examinations to 55,000 candidates annually. IELTS and other English language examinations account for 10% of this volume and are registered for through Customer Services.

Role purpose

Carry out day-to-day duties pertaining to exams operational finance and financial data analysis for planning.

Assist the country exams team with administration and financial management of exams products, programmes and projects.

 

Function overview:

Our Examinations work focuses on providing access to high quality UK qualifications to Egyptian customers, thereby facilitating the building of relationships with our target audiences. The Egypt Exams portfolio is of vital importance to the British Council in terms of both the impact and the income it generates for the organisation. Egypt is among the top 10 exams businesses in the network by surplus. Egypt examinations work encompasses English products such as School exams. IELTS, Aptis (the BC Test) and a wide range of academic and professional qualifications.  

The British Council’s core offers in Egypt are large teaching and examinations operations, together with a range of interventions in higher education and arts. We have 4 teaching centres in Egypt. We administered over 150,000 exams in 2018-19.
