Location: Algiers, Algeria • Operations Services • Contract type: 1 Year Fixed term • Pay band: H • Closing date and time: 19 October 2019

Role purpose:

To support the business operations administration function: maintain systems, processes, documentation; handle internal enquiries and prepare management information reports for multiple functions that may require assistance depending on the size and SBU’s within country. The role will contribute to the achievement of British Council corporate standards and meet relevant polices/ procedures.

To be a pro-active member of the business operations team. Work as part of an efficient and effective team to support the business in achieving objectives. The role will ensure IT related risks, compliance and business continuity are identified and monitored

Successful Candidates

Suitable candidates should have:

Minimum/essential requirements:

- Ability to work in English (Written and spoken) to at least IELTS 5.5.
- French and/or Arabic to CEFR-C
- Work experience in a similar role
- Experience  working in a multi-cultural organisation in an international context
-Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
-Ability to build effective relationships with other employees, management and external stakeholders to achieve the delivery of high quality and effective professional services.
-Strong IT experience with the ability to interpret and follow organisational policies and practice


Desirable requirements: 


- French and/or Arabic to CEFR-C
- IT university degree.
- Working in both public, not for profit and private sector organisations

-Experience of working in a matrix management structure 

Benefits Package


Pay Band  H : Gross Salary 78,000.00 DZD (Before tax and social security deductions)
Transportation allowance : 2,000.00 DZD
Food Allowance: 5,000.00 DZD
