Are you a experienced and capable teacher looking for hourly-paid work in Georgia? The British Council in Georgia is recruiting teachers to join its team in Tbilisi, Lanchkuti and Gori.

The British Council Georgia is recruiting Hourly-paid teachers to work in the following locations.
Tbilisi Gori Lanchkhuti

The British Council is the largest and most prestigious EFL school in Georgia with a significant focus on teacher development: we fund and support teachers to take the DELTA and TYLEC courses.

Prospective applicants must have an initial qualification of CELTA, Trinity TESOL (or other recognised EFL qualification with significant teaching practice). This is flexible outside Tbilisi.

The British Council recruits teachers of all nationalities but your English must be at C2 level (8/9 at IELTS).
In Tbilisi, teachers with experience and enthusiasm for teaching Young Learners are preferred.

Essential Requirements:

Degree
Cambridge CELTA or Trinity cert TESOL (flexible outside Tbilisi)
Full mastery of English equivalent to C2 / IELTS Band 8/9
Experience in teaching relevant age groups  

Desirable Requirements:

Cambridge DELTA/Trinity DipTESOL
YL Extension to the CELTA / BCTYLEC
2 years post-certificate i.e. CELTA/Trinity cert TESOL experience (essential for contract teachers)
Adults General English (800+ hours)
Young Learners aged 5-17 (800+ hours)

 Process

 1. The deadline for completed applications is Sunday 25th August 2019.
 2. Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed at the end of August and early September 2019.
 3. Post-interview, candidates may be invited to conduct a trial lesson or to prepare a full lesson plan.
 4. Successful candidates will begin teaching in late September, 2019.
