WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING AND WHY

As the post holder, you will support examiner recruitment and involve in interviews as required and prepare monthly examiners payroll information. You will process the visas and work permit applications of examiners in Beijing, manage the general HR operational process for these examiners and contribute to the national objectives of the HR team. Your role is to establish and main good working relationship with relevant government authorities for obtaining appropriate documentation for non-Chinese examiners. You are also expected to respond to examiner enquiries, provide accurate guidance on a range of HR policies and procedure and to regularly communicate updates and news to all examiners.

 

WHAT IS INTERESTING ABOUT IT

It is an opportunity to support examiner induction program and termination procedures for examiners procedures and to support examiner learning and development activities. You will act as a role model for best practice in the area of HR and to keep up to date with BC policies and procedures and local Chinese law and ensure all duties are delivered in line with the British Council’s policy on Child Protection and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, and these is taken into account when planning and delivering activity.

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

To be considered successful for this role, you will bring along your knowledge of China Labour and Social Security Law, work permit and residence permit application process as well as experience in a multi-national organisation / joint venture / foreign owned. It is also essential that you have a Bachelor’s Degree alongside with language proficiency in English C1 (Aptis, IELTS 6 or equivalent) and Chinese C1 (HSK 5 or equivalent). It is also advantageous if you have working knowledge of all HR functions.
